VETERAN KBC news anchor Catherine Kasavuli has died after a long battle with cervical cancer.
The well-respected broadcaster, who is the first Kenyan female tv news anchor, passed away “peacefully” at a the private wing of Kenyatta National Hospital on Thursday night.
KBC Managing director Samuel Maina confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement as he paid tribute to the newscaster who had just made a comeback on TV through as ‘The Legends’ program.
She is survived by one adult son, Martin Kasavuli.
