The arrangements for bidding farewell to the late actor Charles Ouda have been disclosed, with plans indicating that he will be cremated at Kariokor on February 15, 2024.
The details emerged from a dedicated WhatsApp group tasked with coordinating burial logistics, where a comprehensive schedule of events was shared.
As per the communication, a church service is slated to take place at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday, February 15, 2024, commencing at 10:00 am. Following this, the final rites will be conducted at Kariokor, exclusively for immediate family members.
Furthermore, a fundraiser has been slated for Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 5:30 pm, scheduled to unfold in the Higher Trinity room at All Saints Cathedral.
The cortege is scheduled to depart from Chiromo Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, for an overnight vigil at the family residence.
In the wake of the tragic loss, the late actor’s family conveyed gratitude for the overwhelming support and affection received, extending heartfelt appreciation to all those who have stood in solidarity.
Responding to queries from Nairobi News regarding the cremation arrangements, an admin from the WhatsApp group stated, “Thank you for reaching out. All details are being finalized today by the family, and an official announcement will be made tomorrow.”
The news of Charles Ouda’s demise was initially announced by fellow actor Mkamzee Mwatela, alongside a statement from Ciru Muriuki and the Ouda family, confirming the devastating loss.
“It is with deep sorrow that the family of Charles ‘Charlie’ J. Ouda and Ciru Muriuki inform you of his passing on the night of 3rd February 2024. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend. Charlie was 38 years old. We appeal to all to give his fiancée Ciru, and the Oudas space to grieve this unfathomable loss,” the statement read.
“More details will be given in due course. Once again, we urge all to respect the privacy of those involved,” it concluded.
