Joyce was admitted to the ICU at a Hospital in Albania after the brutal attack where she was treated until she regained consciousness.

She was then Medically evacuated into the country by Amref Flying doctors through the help of the government three weeks ago and was taken to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) where she had been receiving treatment until she took her last breath.

Joyce was attacked while working In Albania where she had gone in search of greener pastures.
