The aviation community is in mourning after a tragic plane crash at Nairobi National Park that took the life of Mariam Omar Yusuph and her Instructor
Mariam, 21, who lost her life yesterday when the aircraft she was flying collided with another, leading to a fatal crash will be buried this afternoon.
The aviation community, as well as friends and family of Mariam Omar Yusuph, will gather today at 1 pm at Masjid Nur in South C, Nairobi, for prayers in her memory.
Following the prayers, Mariam will be laid to rest at the Langata Muslim Cemetery.
The Ninety Nines Flying School, in a statement, expressed their profound grief over the untimely loss of Mariam and her instructor. “We are lucky to have experienced your one-of-a-kind personality. Always bubbly and cheerful, we remember you with a smile, Mariam,” the school said in a tribute to their departed student.
The tragic incident has prompted an outpouring of condolences and support for Mariam’s family and the Ninety Nines Flying School. The aviation authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine the cause of this unfortunate accident.
