Following the tragic air collision that claimed the lives of pilot instructor Newborn Mokaya and his student pilot Mariam Omar Yusuph, Ninety Nines Flying School has released details of the upcoming memorial and burial arrangements.
According to an announcement,a public commemoration of Mokaya’s life will be held on Monday, March 18th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the South C SDA Church, located opposite Masjid Nur.
To assist the bereaved family, a fundraising event will be held on Tuesday, March 19th, starting at 5:00 pm. The venue for this event is the Professional Centre situated along Parliament Road.
Family and friend will also gather and remember Mokaya in a more intimate setting at a candlelight vigil at his residence in Syokimau this coming Saturday, March 16th.
The burial ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 21st, in Mokaya’s hometown of Rigoma, Nyamira County.
