Senator Jackson Mandago together with his co-defendants Joshua Lelei and Meshack Rono have been freed on sh. 500,000 cash bail or an alternative of 2 million Bond.
Mandago was arrested in Eldoret and whisked to Nakuru where he was held for a night after questioning.
The Senator had earlier disputed claims that he had gone into hiding after a warrant of arrest had been issued by the office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
Mandago has been accused of abuse of office after acquiring millions of money from Uasin Gishu constituents with the promise of school placements for their children in Canada and Finland, something that they have not fulfilled two years down the line.
